Mark this week, ending 03/20/2009, as the week that government contracting almost defeated me. You came close, but not this week. I will not be broken (yet)!

Care to elaborate?
I have all the confidence in ya’ younger brother.
Thanks, Andy!
Topher, I’m an idealistic guy, and need to have a sense of purpose with the work I’m doing, to know I’m serving our country and those around me. The government workplace has been trying for 2 1/2 years to convert my idealism to cynicism about people and our government. They came awfully close this week, but I emerge to fight another day.
Welcome to my world!!!! Well, almost
So here we are a month later… How are things? (He asked, as if he didn’t know the answer.) Keep the faith bro. You do good and valuable work. Don’t get bogged down in the mire.
In my experience in the world of government contracting, there are few contractors who strive to do the Right Thing. Many are content to play the game and collect a (bloated) paycheck. You, my friend, are one who not only strives to do the Right Thing, but achieves it. I commend you on your diligence.
Keep going against the grain. You’ll wake up one day soon and realize you’ve made a very positive and very direct impact on our government, and our country by extension.
