They are very similar in style. Their menus are simple, and they focus on doing one thing well. They each make fries from fresh potatoes. I don't believe Five Guys has "hidden" menu items like In-N-Out. Five Guys does a great job with the toppings (e.g., lettuce, tomato, onion), giving a generous amount. Rachel thinks she might like the Five Guys fries better, but wants to reserve final judgement until a side-by-side taste test can be arranged. :-) Five Guys does sell t-shirts and such, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone (but an employee) wearing them. Not sure why. Micah and I decided to split the burger, as both of us wanted to save room for fries ...
